breeding is not a coincidence... it demands great mares and great knowledge about their positive and negative qualities.
no mare is totally perfect and at atterupgaard we try to awoid "black holes" in the stallions we choose. you can very easily destroy a strong line if you loose focus. our focus has all ways been horses for the sport and not only for exhibition.
today we produce many of our offspring via embryo transfer. in this way we can keep the best mares in the sport - so they can prove that they actually are our best mares...
